I hate to even accept that I am actually blogging about Paris hilton but heck its an issue I feel strongly about .Anyone recalls the “Animal farm” by george Orwell Wel am 100% sure anyone who was in high school mid-nineties in kenya clearly recalls shamba la wanyama .

Hilton’s Jail Term Cut to About 23 days Paris Hilton will serve about half of her 45-day jail sentence and will be separated from the general inmate population, authorities said Wednesday. The hotel heiress will spend about 23 days in a “special needs housing unit” at the Century Regional
Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman
Steve Whitmore said. Her sentence was shortened after jail officials gave her
credit for good behavior, Whitmore
Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including
that she appeared for her latest court date, he said.
Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells
reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other
high-profile inmates, he said.Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate
facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower,
watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he
said. The 26-year-old socialite was sentenced to jail this month for
violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving
case. A judge ordered her to report to jail by June 5

SERIOUSLY ….. credit for what?????? “””Officials considered several factors in calculating the credit, including that she appeared for her latest court date, ” fuccccck she had no choice but to appear normal people would and must appear for a court date .. ! Reduced time for good behaviour….HA!!, actually turning up for her court date constitutes good behaviour??…..Since when??If the ‘Average Joe’ doesn’t turn up for his/her court date it results in an ARREST WARRANT!!! HELLO????
WTF do those people think when making such decisions?? You know if that would have been anyone else they would be in jail for the next year !!! thats bullsh*t she should be treated like any other citzen !!!! just because she is rich doesn’t mean that she is above the law!!! you do the crime you pay the time !!! its as simple as that!!!!
Well, this just goes to show that money can buy your way out of jail. This could have been a good example, the justice system could have shown everyone that no one is above the law and when you break the law, you will suffer the consequences no matter who you are. But, instead it showed everyone that when you have money or are famous, you get special treatment.

Also, would I get special privileges if I were wealthy? Would I get a “special” room in a “special” part of the jail? I obviously would. But, since I am not wealthy I would have to serve the FULL sentence with the rest of the average people.
