Questions for Raila…

you see i got this pollsstar on the right of this ka blog <==== and ok First i was like let me see what just aka small sample size of kenyans think and more so becuase most (if not all) bloggers tend to be less tribalistic or rather are more principle driven rather than village level politics.. nways my biggest suprise is that raila some how has aka big and true folllowing.. i jua its not scientific ( atleast you cant vote twice !!)but my question is .do kenyans really support raila that much? I DONT have any issue with raila at all other than critisizing his ways … its been a minute in jamhuri and am prolly out of touch with politics manenos in ground so maybe kuna vile … I dont jua sh *tt all the same raila i got swalis for you … about one or two things

your ka working relation with kalonzo…

Now that kalonzo has defected…atleast for now ….I have feeling that it will be a repeat of matiba and jaramogi in 1992 in FORD will raila swallow his pride or political ambitions if he is not chosen as ODM Flag bearer . is ODM unity a mirage that is only seen at the horizons?

ODM and meaningless Ultimatums WHY?

the only way that ODM can beat this administration, is to keep having one ultimatum after another, rallies and demonstrations of all manner…the reason being, to portray the got as anti-democratic and tribal…this propaganda worked during the referendum, but will it work this time around? Considering all the obvious improvements that were not so obvious during the referendum…

NSE And Drug Money and Investments

In a clear departure from his critical anti-government stance on such trips abroad, raila told the audience at the Minnesota State University, that there are numerous opportunities for potential investors in Kenya The fact that Raila has lied over & over again is no secret, and is a matter of serious concern to Kenyans. The fact that he has made reckless statements detrimental to our economy is another well documented fact. When now he tries to change the tune, and play a responsible leader, that makes him a hypocrite. It’s just the other day you was saying in front of a mainly foreign audience in Canada/ UK how much NSE upward trading activities are fuelled by drug money what evidence do you have to prove NSE was fueled by drug money?

On power sharing agreements within ODM

Of what use are all those positions? isn’t ODM headed the very direction that NARC did in 2002.This whole idea of power sharing defeats the reason of a constitution that stipulates what a government is made up of and all Kenyans either agreed or compromised upon. It’s CLEAR that Power sharing agreements done in the small of the night are a corruption of the democratic process; they deny the citizen the fundamental right to make a choice. So, we have leaders waging war on each other and some failing to pay any attention to the needs of the citizen because the mwananchi was an irrelevant entity and not involved in the power allocation decision through a legitimate process (BALLOT BOX)
Nobody wants Kenya to have a president, two vice-presidents, a prime minister and two deputy prime ministers. The age-old adage that too many cooks spoil the broth rings true in such an arrangement. What will the many offices do to improve the well being of Kenyans in the economy, governance and social affairs? The power sharing agreement done between our leaders are out rightly illegalSo What are your opinions as raila Odinga about this power sharing? ?

Kibaki’s Development Record… –Speaks For itself what are Railas Views?

If we were all to be honest, Kibaki’s performance is way above average. He inherited a sick economy, nursed it to health, and now the economy is about to start running. We are finally thinking seriously of weaning ourselves off donor funding that comes with blood tentacles attached, and spearheading development financed internally, or mutually beneficial funding arrangements. What has happened is that for four years Kibaki was quiet working, putting in place policies and structures. The opposition leader was busy holding barazas and rallies unleashing funny metaphorical statements and short stories. Now that Kibaki is highlighting what he has been doing, some of the leaders in ODM find that they have nothing to say except criticism. They did not line up with development partners to fund development projects in their areas like Tuju did. Can people use those stories of broken MOU, sijui Saitoti na mpira to pay fees? Is Kibaki the first man on earth to break an MOU?

My opinion is There is just no way can you minimize Kibaki’s policies no matter how you try. People are feeling it on the ground. Roads that never existed are coming up. Roads that ceased to exist are coming back to life. Farmers get paid on time and at better prices. Tourism is on the up… Corruption is a similar situation – inherited problems you don’t address these problems within four years!…….

“…Wewe raila ni mtu pumbavu acha kuongea kama huna akili, izobiashara za kubishana ni za huko huko kwenu, sio humum humu .hapa tunaangalia utaifa, tena inawezekana wewe sio raisi.. mimi ndio rais! ,hakuna hajaaa kubishanaaaa mtabaki huko huko LDP unazungumza tu kamapumbavu na mtu yeyote anaeongea ujinga kama wako ni pumbavu kabisa…”

What is raila response to kibaki’s development record? Does raila think they have a chance a against a proven success story that kibaki has been? Are Kenyans willing to gamble with that? Remember the saying is a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush!

Raila why cant you and rest of ODM accept the bitter truth ?

Raila ,why is it that ODM leaders cannot admit that your party has simply collapsed. Time is of essence, you will face up to reality when it is very very late, like the ill-fated Rainbow of 2002! Truth is, there is nothing more left. Kalonzo is struggling to take control of ODM and his group has legal back-up, which is a real headache: you can see what ngilu has done to NARC for the last 5 years! Raila and his group will probably have no choice but decamp into another outfit. In essence, this giant called ODM is kwishad kabisa!

The sensible thing would be to get real and begin negotiating with a lot of “give and take” in mind. Here thinks this crowd is giving Kibaki an unopposed ticket to state house later this year! Its getting very juicy and sweet, one wishes the stability, and growth of a whole nation did not depend on this hilarious soap opera, it would be damn interesting!

Finally . From the look of things I think a Raila/ Kibaki contest for the presidency will electrify the nation. I wasn’t so convinced before but I am beginning to get a sense that Kenyans could turn to Raila to be their next president. We will see, it is still a long journey. Anything is possible. But a Raila presidency, which I would hope could give Kenyans a true people’s president is a reality we should be prepared to live with whether we support Raila or not.

while we are at it Bob Marley’s Buffalo soldier really makes the keroro taste better..

The Fight of My Life

I have to face a harsh reality.
The fight of my life is upon me.
I discovered it today afternoon .
“okay” was the best my mind could muster.

What is my fight? What is it I am afraid of facing?

I am having problems with my VPN connection from home to my company’s nework via VPN ..There, I said it. I’m having problems connecting to the Internet and its NOT funny at all.!

So I go out of town for 2 days.. come back and I did not bother log in to jobo cuz i assumed all was well .then today I fika home afternoon and Iam like ebu i check something in the ka network and bam ERROR ati …….

This webifyer Will NOT allow to connect your local client application to a server on a corporate LAN via https tunneled through the FirePass box. The remote IP:port pairs will be mapped to local pairs .please check your network and try again………….

B*&^%%TCH!!!!!

I Can get online, thats not the problem its VPN’ing to work thats f-ed up and when i call jobo they sema its a problem in my end becuase network yao is in shape… so its my end .

What makes me so terrified is this :

– There are four companies that are involved with this problem. Time warner, my service provider. VERIZON, whose phone lines leases to provide me my DSL. linksys, who makes my wireless router. And, DELL, who makes my laptop. I am afraid that I am going to have to call all four of them for help and in the past I have had the most awful technical assistance from all four of them.

-TIME WARNER always sends me to Crazy english speaking Indian tech people. Now, I’m not knocking the Indians who are just working to support themselves and their families – on the American dollar. but maze I do happen to dislike the companies that take thousands of jobs from Americans and send them overseas just to fatten their own bottom line… .but that’s post for another time. and I really hope my bosses dont ever get to read this becuase I would get fired for I dont believe in what they tell us everyday in those meetings..reason: I am the engineer in charge of the companies overseas systems (operations) i.e Canada and India and one of my core jobs is to identify the problem with them e.g it the TELCO switch , ama canadian hub router ama its the CLARIFY system in place… nways i Should be the last person to critisize indians but haiiii .. my boss needs to understand its not very easy to understand what those guys are saying half the time ..even though I also shrub excess. I do it because of a paycheck not becuase I would die for this company hell no!

-VERIZON – just throws their hands up in the air immediately and says… “Call TIME WARNER !”

-LINKSYS – is simply pathetic! When I first bought my Linksys router, it took me days to get it to work! Between them and TIME WARNER, I was passed around faster than a hooker at a Busta’ Rhymes party! When it was all said and done and after hours of wasted time with tech support – I ended up fixing the problem myself by pure experimentation!

-DELL – don’t get me started with DELL. They too like to send me to India where I have to pay several dollars a minute to struggle to understand a guy named Sanjii – who prefers to be called ‘Randy.’ I’m extra pissed with DELL because now that my limited warranty has expired with them, I can no longer E-Mail or Chat with them when I need technical help. Instead I have to either read their useless FAQS or PAY to talk to Sanjii. aka Randy..

I know it’s a problem with port mapping but I can’t pinpoint the actual ports that should be used. But from the basics, I know that the VPN server is behind the router but my question is where will the Port Mapping need to be done ?the router, server Ama laptop’s remote acess BOB? And then what is the standard port used? I’ve googled but I can’t pata a solution….. I have tried to configure the router for different inbuilt ports but guess what. These ports will have to be forwarded to the VPN server’s IP and that’s the problem. The file get’s stuck at verifying network and goes no further. ( IP confict ama? ) Sometimes after 10 tries it connects but only partially . I cannot view shared files on the network in order to map a network drive to the tool I need to access.

I think I’m completely screwed

The big funeral service

I am on my way out of town just for some B.S That some jungu somewhere thinks I need to be in the loop about .. so nways me and my makendes are sitted here in aka local airport DAL waiting for a ka flight .sijui kuna delays becuase of sijui Airport Security Alerts and am like heck. cant a black man blog from the terminal . if he can get aka hot spot?

you guys kumbuka Recently, june 07 ama early july 07 . the NAACP had a big funeral service for The N-word. I thought that was a nice thing to do, seeing that I personally hate the damn word! I always think that the NAACP needs to do more things to regain its position of promenance in the Black community, and I thought this was a decent start. Burying the N-Word. Now this is probably only going to stop a tiny handful of Black folks from using the word, and frankly, those of us that are enlightened and intelligent enough to know that the word is a filthy, self loathing, shameful, pathetic, flaming hot brand on the spirit of our race… we’ve already buried it years ago.But then you’ll still have far far too many young Blacks that aren’t smart or strong enough to eliminate the word from their vocabulary and mindset.

To be honest, burying the N-word was cute… but what we need to do as a race, especially with certain members of Our Race, is eliminate the N – Mentality. The N Mindset! That is where the Real harm lies – in those men and women who are ego driven and only think of themselves. Who don’t care about their children, their parents, or their very own legacy. Those men and women, who care nothing of law and order, nothing about respect for others, older people, younger people – no one! Those thugs and hoodlums who live only to steal, shoot, rob and kill. That N-Mindset is what we have to eliminate . That is the REAL problem!

I really say this today because a about 1 month ago I went the south side of dallas its called oakcliff to buy some stuff that can only be found cheap in black neigbourhoods.. this ka poor part of this marvelous metroplex called DFW has truly fallen into a violent, poorly managed, poorly educated, drug haven part of city. It makes me sad. Anyway… I found myself heading west down a large street and I could hear what sounded like a loud music in the distance. The only problem was that it was getting louder very quickly as I approached a green light at a fairly busy intersection. When I was about 30 feet from the intersection, this man… a Black guy in his 20’s or 30’s wearing a tank-top… the nyeuthi came flying through the intersection on this huge SUV causing several cars to slam on their brakes. First – he ran a red light, Second – , Third – the intersection was very busy, and Fourth – I don’t think he even slowed down to try and avoid causing an accident. It is this kind of ignorant, thoughtless, thugish, primative, egotistic behavior that makes the N-Mindset far worse than the N-Word alone. .

A child asked, What is a nigger?
Dr. Cornel West replied, “He’s a human being who is scared and without dignity.”

Do you disagree ?.

Just an observation ..

I witnessed something this evening that really amused me.It left me thinking… some of these Brothers gotta’ step their game up.I was in line at a 7-11 and I was a few people behind this young Brother that was buying some sodas and snacks. He was about 20, with a head full of long twists. And, he had on Tweety Bird underwear. How do I know? Well, because his pants were hanging half off his ass, weighted down by his two cellphones.I noticed this young woman, a little younger looking than him had tossed a soda and some cookies on the counter in front of him. The register guy bagged their snacks up and the dude with the drooping pants picked up the bags and quickly walked out of the store. I was puzzled because he didn’t pay for anything.
Without missing a step, the young girl pulled out her wallet and swiped her credit card to pay for their food.

I was instantly drawn back to a conversation I had with a female friend of mine a few weeks ago…My friend was telling me about her girlfriend who has this deadbeat boyfriend, we’ll call him Ole Sunkuli*. He always boasts about how he’s the man and he handles his business, but when they go out at night SHE always pays. There have been numerous times when she has literally reached in her purse and slipped Ole Sunkuli* cash under the table, so that it appears to anyone around that HE is the one paying for dinner, not her. On those occasions when they are not close enough for the slip-job, once the bill comes, ole sunkuli* gets up and leaves the restaurant. He physically walks away from everyone at the table and waits outside the building – and he is not getting up for a quick smoke. He leaves because he is too big a man [in his eyes] to be seen having a woman pay for his meal. He is too proud to appear to have a woman covering his expenses. Yet, this is the case.

I think the same holds true for this Brother I saw earlier this jionis . He was too proud to be seen having his woman paying for $12 in sodas and cookies. Now, I thought for a moment – that anything could have happened earlier in the day. He could have spent $500 on his lady for all I know… but you know why that doesn’t make sense to me? Because, HE WALKED OUT. Why walk out? Why act so proud? Or, why act so shamed? If you are handling your business and your lady is paying for something – be man enough to stay and stand there by her side. Don’t act ashamed.I think he knew his game was lame, just like Ole Sunkuli, above. Now, there’s no real big deal with a woman that makes more than a man – that happens. And, there’s no big deal with women and men taking turns sometimes covering expenses.
